TIC believes that sustainable settlement solutions for individuals and communities must include all community stakeholders, including the ethnic sectors and mainstream human services, working together in the process of planning, developing, delivering and evaluating services that are flexible enough to accommodate current and future immigration, social, political and economic trends of our region.

TIC's is a non-profit organisation whose programs and services are funded by a variety of sources and some funding has specific target groups with particular entry conditions. Most of our services are free of charge.
TIC provides assistance in the following areas:
- General settlement information
- Assistance with information, referrals and casework
- Information on local resources and facilities
- Cross Cultural Awareness training packages
- Information regarding rights, entitlements, responsibilities, legal and complaint procedures
- Help with enrolment in schools, English language courses or vocational training programs.
- Advocacy on behalf of individual clients
- Help with recognition of overseas qualifications
- Help with preparing for employment, job search skills and opportunities for paid work experience
- Assisting to access translation and interpreting services
- Obtaining legal advice and assistance
- Providing referrals to migration agents
- Providing referrals to other professional and government services
- Access to Health and mental health services, Child and Aged care
- Other activities which facilitate the settlement process
